I like working with the wet-into-wet, since it forces me not to get too tight with my drawing. Let's the drawing decide where I'm going, rather than the other way around.
Yes, dinahmow! I am loving the loose-and-wet. Been having a crisis of confidence lately (as opposed to a crisis of conscience!) and decided to free myself from high expectations.
I just spray the paper with water or smear spoonfuls around with a brush, and then I go to town. Some are definitely more successful than others. Heh.

This is a self-portrait, isn't it? Even with the looseness of this wet watercolor, your drawing ability is clear. I like them!
